The survey focused on aspects of early life course such as educational objectives and employment, as well as marriage, family life, child rearing, household management, and gender roles. Topics of particular interest to the child care and early education research community include parental education, access to early care, early education enrollment, child care arrangements, work schedule flexibility and the effect of work on family time, the effect of work on motherhood, unmarried motherhood, quality of life with and without children, and social pressure to have children. |
