Senior Research Associate, Early Childhood Education, Ounce of Prevention Fund

The Chicago-based Ounce of Prevention Fund welcomes applications for a Senior Research Associate position in Early Childhood Education. The main duties for the successful applicant will include working with the program staff and Educare and elsewhere to ensure accurate data collection, oversee evaluation and research relating to early education programs, lead data analysis in a national implementation study for early education programs, and serve on committees to stay informed about new developments in the field. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or nearing a doctorate in child development, human development, child psychology, or a related field, and at least three years of research experience with supervision of research assistants. Applicants much also be proficient in statistical programs, including SPSS.

Senior Director of Research, NACCRRA

The National Association of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies (NACCRRA), based in Arlington, VA, is now accepting applications for the Senior Director of Research Position. The successful candidate will develop a research agenda, as well as products and publications, to promote the goals and visibility of the center and its network. He or she will also develop national research studies to strengthen the field of Child Care Resource and Referral and produce policy recommendations based on child care data analysis. Student and Early Career Committee (SECC) Dissertation Research Funding Awards

The Student and Early Career Committee (SECC) of the Society for Research in Child Development welcomes applications for student dissertation research. Five grants of up to $2,000 will be given for research proposals of high merit and strong potential on child development. Submissions should currently be in the proposal stage and not yet completed, and the money is to be used for the cost of research or professional development. The deadline for applications is September 15, 2010. The recipients of the awards will be announced at the 2011 SRCD Biennial Meeting in Montreal.

Post-doctoral Research Associate, Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL), University of Virginia

The Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) at the University of Virginia is now accepting applications for a Post-doctoral Research Associate position.
